Niloufar Books was established by Dr. Khorasani in 2012 to publish the book Persian Archery and Swordsmanship: Historical Martial Arts of Iran and to accompany the Razmafzar project (reviving Persian swordsmanship and historical fighting arts). Niloufar is a Persian word that means "lotus flower": the royal symbol, representative of the aquatic deity Apam Napat, of the Achaemenid dynasty. The logo of Niloufar Books is based on a motif depicted in the remains of Persepolis showing the hand of the Achaemenid King Darius grasping a lotus flower, one bud of which protrudes from either side of his hand. Niloufar Books® is a registered trademark.
